Abortion in America
Arizona banned her abortion, even though her baby wouldn’t survive
Synopsis
Six months into her pregnancy, Chloe Partridge’s doctor told her that her baby had a fatal condition and that she needed an abortion. But because of abortion restrictions in Arizona, her doctor said he couldn’t help her. Chloe planned to travel to Colorado for care. But after receiving death threats online, she was afraid to leave the state for an abortion. She ultimately carried her daughter to term and was forced to watch her die two days after she was born.
Chloe spoke with Abortion in America in Austin, Texas to bring greater attention and awareness to the experiences of people living in states with abortion bans.
There’s going to be people who are going to have to suffer the same way that I did. Their babies are going to have to suffer. And it’s extremely unfair to make women, make babies go through something like that.
