Abortion in America
She tried for a year to get pregnant. Then her water broke too early.
Synopsis
Sarah Hughes spent a year trying to get pregnant. But less than halfway through her much-anticipated pregnancy, her water broke at 18 weeks. The baby had almost no chance of survival and Sarah’s health was at serious risk. But what helped make the decision to have an abortion for Sarah and her husband was the fact that their daughter was suffering.
Sarah spoke with Abortion in America in Austin, Texas to bring greater attention and awareness to the experiences of people living in states with abortion bans.
This is a sacred decision about how much suffering you’re going to have your child go through.
