Women who pursued Idaho abortion lawsuit accuse anti-abortion website of libel

Three women who sued Idaho over the state’s abortion ban are now joining other women from across the country in calling on the anti-abortion group Live Action to cease and desist from publishing false and defamatory claims about their doomed pregnancies. This is the first step towards potential litigation. In reporting for the Idaho Statesman, Nicole Blanchard spoke with one of the women, Kayla Smith, who says Live Action misrepresented her medical care, falsely stated her baby could have survived and that she just wanted to kill her baby, and sparked online harassment.
