Synopsis

During an ultrasound for a much-wanted pregnancy, Christine Lang discovered that her baby had stopped growing. South Carolina’s abortion ban forced her to travel out of state for care, risking sepsis.

Christine spoke with Abortion in America in Austin, Texas to bring greater attention and awareness to the experiences of people living in states with abortion bans.

Because I was able to leave the state of South Carolina to receive a D&C for a pregnancy loss, I am pregnant again. I am currently eight weeks pregnant and tomorrow is actually my first ultrasound.
